Marketing Communications

With your consent, or with an opportunity for you to withdraw your consent, we may use your information for marketing purposes.

Text Messaging (SMS)

This section applies if you opt in to receive text messages from BusPlanner, for example on our SMS opt-in page at https://busplanner.com/sms-opt-in/. It explains how we collect, use, share, and keep your mobile information. Your mobile information means your mobile phone number, your consent to receive our text messages, and our record of that consent.

Information we collect. When you opt in, we collect your name, organization, work email address, and mobile phone number. We also keep a record of your consent. It shows the date and time, the page and form, the consent wording, and your device’s IP address and browser type. When you reply to our text messages, including with STOP or HELP, we keep a record of your reply.

How we use it. We use your mobile information to send you the text messages you agreed to receive. These are follow-ups and reminders from BusPlanner. We also use it to respond to your opt-out and help requests, to keep a record of your consent, and to meet our legal obligations.

No sharing for marketing. We do not sell your mobile information. We do not share your mobile phone number or your text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Who processes it. We share your mobile information only with service providers that help us send and manage our text messages. These include our messaging and CRM service providers and the mobile carriers that deliver the messages. These providers may use it only to provide those services to us. Disclosure of Your Information does not apply to your mobile phone number or text messaging consent, except as this section describes. We may still disclose your mobile information when the law requires it, as described under By Law or to Protect Rights.

How long we keep it. We keep the record of your consent, and of any opt-out, while you receive our text messages and for four years after you opt out. This lets us show when and how you agreed and when you stopped. After that, we delete it or remove the details that identify you, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your choices. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message from us. We will send one message to confirm, and then stop sending you text messages. You can also opt out by emailing team@busplanner.com or calling (866) 306-4183. Reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Text Messaging Terms. The Text Messaging Terms in our Terms of Use, at https://busplanner.com/terms-of-use/, also apply to our text messages.

Interactions with Other Users

If you interact with other users of the site, those users may see your name, profile photo, and descriptions of your activity, including sending invitations to other users, chatting with other users, liking posts, and following blogs.

Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the Site.
